Many people tend to ignore or push past their body’s signs to slow down until their discomfort is unbearable, then expect one session with an external healer to get them “back to normal”. The reality is, that
like they are the one and only home we get in this lifetime (because they are!).
In this program, I help you connect to or deepen your intuition within the body, so you can better identify tension patterns, process trauma and release compounding stress using yoga, breathwork and bodywork tools (such as a lacrosse ball and gua sha). This work is done slowly over time to not only recover from old injuries but also prevent new ones.
I have sustained multiple injuries throughout my life (like shattering both feet, a collapsed lung, debilitating period cramps) and have used what I learned to become my own healer - finding ways to keep my body feeling good long-term, prevent injuries, and stop looking for “quick fixes.”
In 2024, I turned my knowledge and experiences into a virtual group program as the first iteration of Be Your Own Healer. But ever since Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina, it’s shifted massively. I spent a lot of time offering free in-person classes in the days and weeks after the flood to people in my community, which inspired me to put even more emphasis on releasing the emotional tension, as well as the physical.
In 2025, I switched the format of Be Your Own Healer to one-on-one sessions, instead of group, so I could get even deeper with each client and refine the emotional and physical aspects of this work. The next shift is to create a course and community using what I’ve created so far and the information I’ve gotten from clients along the way.
